Bacon Stuffed CheeseburgersI am a huge burger fanatic!!  It is that one thing that will always be worth the Weight Watchers points for me.  My husband loves huge burgers so when I was offered the chance to review burger press I went for it!!  We decided to make Bacon Stuffed Cheeseburgers, with of course the highlight being bacon!!  There is no way you can go wrong with anything bacon right??

Yumms Burger PressFirst up the burger press.  I was truly surprised how easy it was to use.  I have always tried making burgers by hand and was always left with a big clumpy mess, that never cooks well on the grill or survives being flipped!!! In fact if you want to know how easy this was to use my seven year old made our burger patties for us!!!

Michael Stuffing Yumm Burger Press

We used 93% lean ground beef  we bought in bulk and thawed out.  Michael had a blast pulling out the meat and flattening it into the burger press.  Once we got the bottom of it covered with beef Michael pressed down with the handle piece to evenly flatten out the burger patty.

Michael Making Burgers With Yumm Burger Press After the burger had its filling all it was a simple press down to seal all our ingredients in to the burger patty (Don’t worry the recipe is coming up) Sealing it with the stuffing took a bit hard of a smash but it worked great.  To remove the burger you lift up on the all white piece to lift up patty.  (He would not hold still for a picture of this step. )

Michael Cooking BaconNow onto the juicy part how to make the amazing burgers!!!!!   We decided to pre-cook our bacon most the way through.  I didn’t want to run the risk the bacon didn’t  cook all the way while coated in the ground beef.  We opted to bake ours in the oven, if you haven’t done this before a bit of warning your house will instantly smell like bacon.  We were salivating during the ten minutes it was in the oven (350 degrees) and we were prepping up our veggies!!! Make sure when you pull the bacon out you turn on the bbq and use a nonstick  spray on the racks.

Bacon In Yumm Burger Press

Now to fill your burger press and make your patty it’s really easy.  You simply put the white lifter into the base and cover it with ground beef.  Then smash it down the black handled piece (Michael called it the burger hulk since it smashed! ) .  We laid two pieces of bacon in ours and covered it with a slice of cheese.  This is were you could be creative and stick in other veggies, meats, or cheese to your burger.  Top your filling with more beef and smash it up again.  This will create a good seal around the filing with the meat.    Now throw them on the grill!!

Bacon Stuffed Burgers On The GirllAs you can tell they oozed their gooeyness and flipped in whole pieces together!!! Normally when I make my own patties we end up with grilled crumbles not a whole patty!!

Then assemble your burger after its done cooking to the proper temperature! !
