Guinness– I used Draught and have also made this using the Blonde Guinness and it was just as good.
How To Make Slow Cooker Guinness Beef Stew:
In a bowl, mix together your flour, salt, pepper, and seasonings, you can also add in any other seasonings that your family loves!
Put your olive oil into your frying pan and turn the pan on medium-high heat to warm the oil.
In your large bowl, mix in your stew meat so it is coated in the flour mixture, and then add to your frying pan!
Be sure to keep stirring so it browns evenly on all sides; my meat took less than 10 minutes to brown up.
Cut up your onion, potatoes, and carrots, I will confess I used carrot sticks and chopped them up! Baby carrots also work perfectly in this recipe as well.
After your meat is browned and your vegetables are prepped, spray your crockpot with a nonstick spray, or line it with a slow cooker liner this will make clean-up easier.

Put in all of your vegetables, tomato paste, and minced garlic into your crockpot.
Give the mixture a good stir.
Add your browned beef, beef broth, and pour in your Guinness beer and give it another good stirring!
Turn your crockpot on low and cook for 6-8 hours until your potatoes and carrots are done.
Serve in a bread bowl or alone, but don’t forget to drink a Guinness or two with it for more flavor!

HOW TO STORE LEFTOVER BEEF STEW
Store in an air-tight container for three to five days in the fridge. If you are freezing your leftover stew, freeze it in an air-tight container for up to ninety days.
Storing leftovers properly requires the right tools! My preferred storage method is if the leftovers can be sealed in a food saver. If not, then an air-tight container or Ziploc bag for the fridge is the way I go. The air-tight container and a freezer Ziploc bag are the next best bet for freezing the leftovers. I also use a food scale to measure portions into serving sizes.
