Can you believe that Easter is creeping up around the corner?! It feels like it was just Thanksgiving! Now, as my kids have gotten older it is fun to do something different for them besides just the Easter basket and egg hunts. This year, I opted to make them a gift with things they really need for this summer and spring. Thank you to Nestlé for sponsoring these Easter Beach Towel Bunnies, this post contains affiliate links.
It seems like this year all my kids grew like weeds! I was trying to plot what holidays were coming up in order to plan in the gifts with the needs they have. I love when I can come up with themes for the holidays, it makes the gifts that much more thoughtful and fun. I was complaining to my girlfriend and she shared with me an idea they had done when they spent Easter in a condo with her kids. She made up Easter Beach Towel Bunnies like these. She had seen towel animals on cruises and twisted the idea into this neat Easter gift!
Now, last week I was at Walmart picking up the supplies because, let’s face it, Walmart is amazing for one-stop shopping! While there, I picked up a Nestlé egg filler bag. It currently has a $2 Ibotta Rebate!! Plus, if you need multiple bags of candy, you can get a bonus from Nestlé on top of the individual rebates as well!! Head on over -> here to check out the Rebate from Ibotta. I plan to go back for Jellybeans for an Easter egg hunt but that is for another post.
Easter Beach Towel Bunnies Supplies:
- Beach towel
- Water shoes/flip flops
- Easter Eggs
- Nestlé Candy
- Other options, swim floaties, beach balls, sand toys, etc
Easter Beach Towel Bunnies Directions:
Gather up all your supplies.
Remove price tags and packaging if necessary.
Lay your beach towel flat first, pattern side down.
Roll from one side of the towel until you reach the halfway point.
Once your towel is rolled up, fold the rolls in half. *See below*
Then, fold the pointy ends up to create the bunny ears.
Now, loosen your swim goggles to fit around the towels (you can tighten them once they are on the towel).
Then, fill it up!! We stuffed the swimsuit to make the “bunny body” and topped it off with the water shoes as the bunny ears!!
While it may seem selfish to make it practical, it’s also helping to keep some of the holiday clutter out of my house. Plus, the kids will get a whole summer use out of their Easter basket!!
What do you put in your Easter Baskets?? Which Nestlé Candy will you pick up at Walmart?
