There are days the kids leave at 8 in the morning and most times aren’t home until 8 o’clock at night. This means dinner is rushed and can be crazy. I always try to serve up a side item with pizza so it’s not just pizza for dinner. Sticking with the pizza theme for dinner I whipped up Pizza Pasta Salad.
Easy Pizza Pasta Salad Recipe Ingredients:
Rotini Pasta– This will be cooked and strained before putting in the pasta salad.
Italian Salad Dressing– I am a bit partial to the Olive Garden brand of Italian dressing but any will work.
Green Pepper– This will be chopped up, I did leave the chunks bigger so the kids who don’t like pepper can pick them out easily.
Cherry Tomato– These will be quartered or chopped up, I did quarters so my picky kids could pick out these pieces.
Purple Onion-This will be chopped up, I did leave the chunks bigger so the kids who don’t like red onion can pick them out easily.
How To Make Pizza Pasta Salad Recipe:
Start a pot of water to boil and cook your pasta up.
Strain your pasta and allow it to cool, I put mine in a bowl in the freezer to cool faster. I strained my pasta with an over-the-sink strainer so I can rinse it with cold water if I don’t have time to chill it in the freezer.
Start to chop up your veggies, you could also add more veggies if you want my family is just picky about veggies.
Once your pasta is cooled in a large bowl start to dump everything in a large bowl and mix well. Now I combined the potatoes and the dressing together in a Tupperware Mega Bowl.
A lot of this can be to taste and changed up however your family will like it.
Refrigerate and serve cold.
What do you serve with your pizza??
