These Lime Chicken Tacos are a favorite of mine to make! With being on Weight Watchers, chicken breasts are a favorite and cornerstone protein in meal planning. Boneless skinless chicken breasts work out to 0 points on the plan.

I love tacos but get tired of ground beef and have completely fallen in love with these lime chicken tacos!!! I love it when I find individually packaged chick breast fillets or frozen ones. You can find them at Perdue farms, Walmart Online or Ohama Steaks for having chicken delivered to your home!!
I found these Lime Chicken Tacos on the Picky Palate and knew it was one I had to try!!! I used three chicken breasts to make these. They are the right size to be sliced into chicken strips to go in the salad, and I plan to use these to make the chicken in my salads.
WHAT IS Weight Watchers?
When starting a new weight loss program or diet change, consult a doctor or physician about personal health concerns. It is a good idea to have blood sugar levels, blood pressure, and hormones checked at a physical before and during being on the WW program.
New to Weight Watchers?? Also known as WW, a weight loss program uses points assigned to food to track and lose weight. When you sign up, you take an assessment that will assign you a point value to eat daily and a weekly allowance. You can carry over 4 points from the day into your weekly budget, which is handy when you need more points.
I have been on Weight Watchers since 2011. They have had Points Plus Value, WW Smartpoints, Blue Plan, Green Plan, Purple Plan, WW Personal Points, and now Weight Watchers Points. The new Weight Watchers Simplified plan is the new program launched in November 2022, similar to previous plans like WW Smartpoints, with some color plans. ( You can see the Weight Watchers Zero Point Foods 2023 -> here)
No matter the WW plan, it works to help you learn healthy eating habits. I have hit my lifetime goal weight several times but stopped following the plan and tracking, so the weight does creep back on.
Right now, you can head on over -> here and sign up for Weight Watchers for $5 a month for the first three months.
Lime Chicken Taco Ingredients:
- Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- Limes
- Taco Seasoning– You can use a store-bought taco seasoning pack; I used my own Homemade Taco Seasoning. (get the recipe -> here)
How To Make Lime Chicken Tacos:
Coat chicken breasts in taco seasoning; I used a bowl to dredge my chicken breast through taco seasoning.
Turn your grill on or warm your pan; I used a George Forman grill to make mine.
Slice lime and squeeze over the chicken in the bowl. Again use as much or as little as you want. I made mine where there was a lot of lime juice in the bowl with the chicken.
You can use lime juice instead if you don’t have fresh limes.
Next, cook your chicken!!
Use a meat thermometer to verify your chicken is at least 165 degrees before serving.
I used my George Foreman Grill to cook these. This was the best thrift store find for me at $1.50!!! With some improvision, I placed tortillas in the bun warmer to warm them while the chicken cooked!

BEST WEIGHT WATCHERS TORTILLAS
I love using tortillas on Taco Tuesday, I could save a lot of points by just doing taco salads, but tacos are amazing! For all the low-point Weight Watchers tortillas, see my post -> here.
TOPPINGS FOR Chicken Lime Tacos:
- Sour Cream

- Pico De Gallo

- Shredded Cabbage
How To Store Chicken Lime Tacos
Allow the leftover chicken lime taco meat to cool off, then store it in an airtight container. You can keep this in the fridge for up to five days after making it. You can also freeze the chicken for up to 90 days.
Storing leftovers properly requires the right tools! My preferred storage method is if the leftovers can be sealed in a food saver. If not, then an air-tight container or Ziploc bag for the fridge is the way I go. The air-tight container and a freezer Ziploc bag are the next best bet for freezing the leftovers. I also use a food scale to measure portions into serving sizes.
