One Pot Sausage Pasta Recipe is one of the first recipes that my son ever made, don’t worry, he had supervision. I am blessed that the kids have always loved to help in the kitchen, which is an important skill. But either way, easy is what this dinner is!

Now we first made this back in 2015, my son and I loved to watch Master Chef Junior together!!! In one of the episodes of Master Chef Jr Season 3, the kids make their own sausage!! He was really wanting to try to make a recipe using sausage (though we opted for beef not Kangaroo like some did in the episode). We took to Pinterest and found a great recipe from Damn Delicious.
Look how young he was; now he is turning 15 this year! Now one thing he has developed is a taste for quality and making easy recipes. During a trip to Austin, TX he fell in love with TX food! I was excited when he found out we could order Southside BBQ Sausage to our door! Head on over -> here and use promo code TXBBQ10 to save 10% on your order.
We used the beef sausage when we remade this and loved the flavor that the sausage added. Excellent meat shipped to your door… does it get any easier and tastier?

How To Make One Pot Sausage Pasta:
Slice your sausage into small pieces, and cut up your onion if needed.
Set your pot on your burner and turn to medium-low heat.
In your pot, add a bit of minced garlic to taste and drop in your sliced sausage.
Add your diced onions or onion powder to your sausage and garlic.
Saute your sausage for a bit until it starts to brown.
Add into the pot the water, spaghetti noodles (I broke mine in half), and basil.
Salt and pepper to your taste preference.
Bring the pot to a rolling boil.
Once your water is boiling reduce the heat to medium and allow it to simmer uncovered.
Allow everything to cook until there is no liquid left. (This step took about 8-10 minutes to complete)
Once the liquid is gone mix the Parmesan Cheese into the pasta mixture in the pot.
Serve and enjoy.
