Even though it is summer time our life is not slowing down at all!! If you are like a lot of other parents, it’s sports season. Last year Michael moved up in leagues to one that is year round, that requires a lot of coordination in our life with school, his dad, his teammates, his coach who coaches four teams, and his own social life. Thank you to Teamsnap for sponsoring this post.
While I love how organized our team has been, let’s face it, keeping track of emails, updated schedules, what color uniform to wear, the color of socks, field numbers, and all those other little details can be overwhelming to do. I was absolutely dreading remembering all this information on a weekly and daily basis. Thankfully, our organization had this all handled, and recommended Teamsnap to the team. I know I, as well as the team manager and other parents, have grown to love it!
What Is Teamsnap?
A sanity saver!! Teamsnap is technically an app that you download on your phone and creates an account as a parent. I am not kidding you, you get instant updates on your phone via the app (and an email if you chose too). The best part of this, everyone gets the same update at the same time.
Now besides that, how is it a sanity saver?? Teamsnap allows your team manager to input the team roster, practice and game times, locations, field numbers, arrival times, uniform needs, and do a push notification if anything changes to keep you up to date! Plus, photos can be shared via the app avoiding the need to friend other parents on social media just to see pictures from the game, even though you end up making friends.
How Does Teamsnap Work?
As you can see above, we are in a weird week with June ending and we don’t have our July practice schedule, but we have our first tournament coming up. It’s great to see looking back what events happened when things changed, and then the times of upcoming events. As you can see team pictures were put in as well.
Event Details On Teamsnap:
- Time of event
- Arrival time
- Field name if applicable
- Uniform details
- Opens into google maps
- Your RSVP
How amazing is it that you can click that address in the app and it gives you the option to open for GPS!! This past year I have gone to cities I had never been to, or that I knew how to get around, so it’s great for figuring out times to leave, and watching traffic for a couple days before.
Want to try out Teamsnap for your sports team?? Or even just a local school group or adult sports team?? You can head on over -> here and grab a four-month trial without any credit card required, a $72 value!! Our team splits the cost between all 12 players on the team so it’s a great value for us!
Has your team used Teamsnap before?? How do you stay organized for sports schedule?
